tsk... well... despite the defeats we are happy about last night's competition results... i'm not sure about the exact name but what i do know is that it has SAN SEBASTIAN in it heheh... you guys really should've won the paskong himig this year... and it showed last night... congratulations... and all those who joined us at the PAGCOR Christmas Carol Festival 2007 Finals.... congratulations for making it that far... and thank you for the music... we all enjoyed every minute of the competition... keep singing and we hope to see you next year or sooner perhaps... again... Congratulations and happy holidays...

Simbang Gabi Aftermath

damn... i'm really sleepy, i look wasted...... heard mass earlier this morning (2am to 3am) then slept till 730am and now i'm here inside the training room waiting for our instructor... gees! my eyelids aren't following me hahaha! training's at 10am to 7pm... huhuh... then i'm going to perform later at around 7pm here in Ortigas with my choir... then if ever the show wraps up early... i'll be hearing Mass for the Simbang Gabi later at 9pm... then hopefully i'll be able to have a long sleep. rest my eyes, my voice, my body.... rest rest rest... tisch! after this month's over... i'd want a 2-month vacation hehehe... that's lovely but i can't haay... i've my nclex and cgfns application to take care of... huhuh

lunch lunch lunch

I just had lunch... our instructor isn't here yet that's why I'm here heheh... lunch was really cheap... less than a hundred pesos but i got really full... the food was great and well, it was served hot which really made the difference. heheh... it's really not a sumptuous meal but it fits my budget and appetite so it's fine...

a day in a bum nurse's life

yahoo.... i've access... good thing this station supports google... haay... well... we're going to have a performance tomorrow at Ortigas Park... sigh.. i do hope we'll do this one better this time and even better at the PAGCor competition on the 23rd...

I'm here at Sitel... yeah yeah i know... why am i here?! I am i nurse right? i should be in a hospital or any job related to my supposed profession... well.. answer's simple... I searched for work which would be somehow light on my time... aside from the fact that the site is near my place... i am able to save money for myself and for some expenses at home... and one critical thing is i am able to answer questions for NCLEX and CGFNS at home... more time... more questions to answer... besides... i ain't got the money to pay for training yet... so by the time i have the funds... maybe i'll quit the job and focus more on being a nurse... i know... it's frustrating but reality check... there's no easy way... i do have plans of applying as a nurse in a public hospital near our place... and i can get quite a good experience there... and if i still have time... i'm gonna go for a private hospital... you just to have experience of both worlds i guess....

This is hard for me... but hey... i already made a choice... just have to live by it... and still aim for that goal... Work as a nurse abroad that is...

well that's it for me... after this 10am-7pm training i'm gonna go to the Cathedral to hear Mass for the 7th Simbang Gabi then attend rehearsals for the performance here in Ortigas tomorrow and competition on sunday at PAGCOR...

Lost with a slightly heavy heart

well... yeah... we lost in this year's NCR competition. it was terrible... but i can't argue with the judges... it was they who heard everything from the start... and yes... even without the trophy and all... i guess we've fulfilled what we were there for last night... and it was to sing and entertain the audience.. it really felt good when people i do not know personally just approached and told me "you guys should've won."

I appreciate it a lot and so do the rest fo the choir memebers. well it's just one of those competitions i guess... we still have more to look forward to...

To the choirs we met at the 13th Paskong Himig who are also the finalist for the PAGCOR choral fest... see you there... we look forward to singing with you... God bless us all

the best gift i got before Christmas

yahoo!!! it really felt great singing again with the choir i love most. i once thought i'd never be able to sing with them again, ever, due to my schedule and all... but last night proved me wrong. although it was very tiring... it was well worth it, i enjoyed every minute with the members of the choir, the music of the orchestra and the applause by the audience... Thank you UPSA and Kuya Ed for giving me that chance once again...

another day

had a really tiring day....
but at least I'd be singing once more with the choir i love, that would be tomorrow... err.... rather, later.
just have to cut this short... I'm really sleepy na... and my bed and my pillows seem to invite me to sleep... so ciao for now...

Two movies in a row

i just watched Beowulf and The Golden Compass last night with one of the people i love the most in the whole wide world... I really had a great time... They did a pretty good job working on those movies. as you can see... i've my Daemon already but it's still subject to change within 12 days after it's initial pair up with me... hehehe (try to look for The Golden Compass portion of this blog)... but the more amazing movie for me last night was Beowulf... truly the advances of technology has led to this era of computerized animation that captures life thus making the CG animation lifelike minus the stiff characteristics of its predecessors. the details where really intricate (except of the horses, were those horses? they acted like they were ponies or something else) making the characters more alive than just plain old 3-D graphics.

Now... this makes me eager to see the sequel to the Golden Compass... but before that... there's another tale from The Chronicles of Narnia to watch out for heheh...

One whole day at the NBI

sheesh... i just got home... i just applied again for another NBI clearance... this time, it's for local employment... sigh... i know this is just a temporary career path... i have to stick to the plan - that i'll work as a nurse abroad once i finish all the exams I've to take (and pass them all of course). can't help but think of the fact that i'm dwindling out of my original path... but i'm not losing hope of course... I'm gonna get there... i promised that to myself and to my family... i've to think positibo he he...

Mah First Job

sheesh... though i'm ashamed to admit it but yes... i did find a job but not in a hospital.... though i'm no that totally embarrassed about it but the thing is ... it's not worth it working as a nurse here so i applied for other jobs and luckily i passed... it was a one day thingy. got tired from intial interviews, a number of exams, final interviews and job offers which ran from morning till around 11pm... sheesh... luckily i got in... training starts on Dec 17... haay... decided to help myself coz i shouldn't ask for money now that i've graduated although i still have to ask for it when i start my application process for NCLEX, CGFNS and IELTS... haay... well... ciao for now... have to sleep...

This is rather new to me... to a person who doesn't even have a friendster account while all of my friends do. hehehe

Well anyway, since i do have a good internet connection and my pc's working just fine i guess i could have this site updated almost everyday... hehehe...

I don't know what I'll be getting out of this but for the sake of experiencing it before i get too old for this, I'll try be religious bout this heheheh...
